Putin Blames Georgia Conflict on US

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin blames the United States for the conflict in Georgia. In an interview with CNN, Putin says the U.S. encouraged Georgia to attack the breakaway region of South Ossetia because it thought a crisis would benefit a presidential candidate. AOL News has the reaction from the US State Department.

New York Church Hits the Jackpot

A New York pastor says one of his congregants donated a winning lottery ticket worth $3 million to his church. The pastor said the donor, who asked to remain anonymous, donated the ticket immediately after realizing he won. The church will get a little over $100,000 a year through 2028. The amount could be higher if withheld taxes are refunded because of the church's nonprofit status.
